Friendly and English speaking Captain du Port who is very relaxed. Port only has 20 spots for visitors, so beware. Sadly no WiFi on the marina proper, but hotspots are available in town. A beautiful town to walk trough, especially during the evening. Lock to the marina opens HW +/- 4hrs but beware of shallows in the Avant-port. With our depth of 1.80 meters we had no trouble getting in 2 hours before HW on a neap tide. We were even able to moor at the pier while waiting for the lock (triple green lights) to allow us in. Dutch pilot mentions heavy current in marina due to water discharge from hinterland. We did experience some current but none too bothersome. Marina facilities are simple and dated, but were fairly clean. Showers are free and there is no timer. Water is also free, but be sure to bring your own hose. We didn't, so we had to haul water in buckets 😉 Harbor master is also the person who controls the lock. Visit the lock control tower to pay. You will also receive an access code for the marina gates from him. Enjoy your stay 😊
