Good holding in 10m of sand, difficult to get closer in due to the swimming buoys. Even with a NW wind some swell was working in to the bay, this would probably untenable with over 15 knots of wind. Only one taverna open, just up the street of the storm drain on the right, excellent food. We dinghy’d around to the town, the castle is worth the climb. Again not much open but it was mid October when we visited.

Beautiful anchorage on sand fields, about 6 m depth, supermarket and taverns on the beach, to town / Chora short, steep footpath. Very windy at anchorage.

Schöner Ankerplatz auf Sandfeldern, ca. 6 m Tiefe, Supermarkt und Tavernen am Strand, zur Stadt / Chora kurzer , steiler Fussweg. Sehr windig am Ankerplatz.

Beautiful clear water, view of the Chora and castle. Very friendly tavernas and a small supermarket which gave my children fresh fruit from their garden. Winds did not reflect the forecast - rolling swell from South/East.
